Air conditioning installation

Expert air conditioning installation across Torrevieja and Orihuela Costa, with correctly sized inverter systems, tidy fitting and full manufacturer and workmanship warranties.

Installation done properly, the first time

A good air conditioning installation is about far more than fixing a unit to the wall. On the southern Costa Blanca, where summers in Torrevieja and Orihuela Costa regularly push past 30 to 35 degrees, the difference between a well-planned system and a rushed one is felt every single day from June to September.

We install split, multi-split and ducted (conductos) systems for homes and businesses across the area, from apartments in La Zenia and Playa Flamenca to villas in Cabo Roig, Villamartín and Punta Prima. As RITE and F-Gas certified installers, we make sure every job is compliant, registered and built to last in the salt air near the coast.

Choosing the right system

The best system depends on your home and how you live in it. We will talk you through the options in plain English before you commit to anything:

  • Single split — one indoor unit paired with one outdoor unit, ideal for a bedroom or living room.
  • Multi-split — several indoor units running from a single outdoor unit, which keeps the exterior tidy and is popular on apartment terraces.
  • Ducted (conductos) — discreet units hidden in the ceiling that cool the whole home through vents, leaving walls clear.

We only fit inverter technology. Inverter compressors adjust their output continuously instead of switching fully on and off, so they hold a steady temperature, run more quietly and use noticeably less electricity, which matters when the air conditioning is working hard through a long Mediterranean summer. We will also explain the energy class of each unit so you can weigh up the upfront cost against your running costs.

Correct sizing for our climate

Getting the sizing right is the single most important part of the job. An undersized unit will struggle and run constantly; an oversized one cools in short bursts, wastes energy and controls humidity poorly.

We never guess. During the site visit we measure each room and account for ceiling height, insulation, the number and orientation of windows, and how much direct sun the space gets. A south or west-facing living room near the coast takes far more heat than a shaded north-facing bedroom, so the required kW (frigorías) is calculated for your home specifically, not from a rough rule of thumb.

How the installation works

We keep the process clear and predictable from first contact to handover:

  1. Site visit and survey — we assess the property, discuss where units should go and answer your questions.
  2. Written quote — a clear, itemised quote with the recommended units and no surprise extras. See our honest approach to pricing on the contact page.
  3. Fitting — clean, careful work with floors and furniture protected, pipework run neatly and brickwork made good.
  4. Commissioning — we vacuum the lines, check the refrigerant charge, test every mode and show you how to use the controls and timers.

We treat your home with respect and tidy up fully before we leave. Many of our customers are British and Nordic expats as well as Spanish locals, so we are happy to explain everything in English or Spanish, whichever you prefer.

Warranty and peace of mind

Every installation comes with the manufacturer warranty on the equipment and our own workmanship warranty on the fitting. Because the work is carried out by F-Gas certified engineers and properly registered, you have genuine cover if anything ever needs attention.

To keep that warranty valid and the system running efficiently in our dusty, salty coastal conditions, we recommend a yearly service. You can read more about air conditioning servicing, and if you ever have an issue we also offer repairs and refrigerant regas.

Frequently asked questions

How long does an air conditioning installation usually take?
A standard single split is normally fitted in a day. Multi-split and ducted (conductos) systems take longer, often two to three days depending on pipe runs and ceiling work. We confirm the timeframe with your written quote before any work starts.
What size unit do I need for my room?
It depends on the room size, ceiling height, insulation, how many windows you have and how much direct sun the room gets. South and west-facing rooms near the coast need more cooling capacity. We measure on site and calculate the correct kW so the unit is neither undersized nor wasteful.
Which air conditioning brands do you install?
We work with Daikin, Mitsubishi Electric, LG, Samsung, Panasonic and Fujitsu. We will recommend the best option for your home, budget and how often the property is used, rather than pushing one single brand.
Do you provide a warranty on the installation?
Yes. You get the manufacturer warranty on the equipment plus our own workmanship warranty on the installation itself. As RITE and F-Gas certified installers, the work is registered and fully compliant.
Can you install air conditioning in a holiday home that is empty for months?
Yes, and this is very common here. Many of our customers have second homes used seasonally. We can fit systems with Wi-Fi control so you can switch the air conditioning on remotely before you arrive, and we will advise on settings that suit a property left closed in the heat.
