Orihuela Costa is the band of coast just south of Torrevieja, and it is a place unlike anywhere inland. It is not one town but a string of well-known urbanisations - La Zenia, Playa Flamenca, Cabo Roig, Villamartin, Punta Prima, Los Dolses and Las Ramblas - each with its own mix of beachfront apartments, townhouses and detached villas. The community here is overwhelmingly international, with British, Nordic, Belgian and German owners living alongside Spanish neighbours, and a huge proportion of the housing stock is second homes and holiday lets.

That changes what people need from an air conditioning company. Many of these properties sit empty for part of the year, then need to be cool and ready the moment owners or guests arrive. Others run hard all summer with back-to-back rentals. • Pre-summer start-ups and servicing. If your home in Playa Flamenca or Los Dolses has been shut up over winter, the worst time to discover a fault is the first hot afternoon you arrive. A pre-season maintenance visit - clean filters and coil, check the charge, test the run - means it just works when you walk in.
• Installation. Older apartments near the beach often have no air conditioning at all, or a single tired unit struggling to cool the whole place. We handle air conditioning installation for everything from a one-bedroom holiday flat to a multi-room villa.
• Repairs. Units that sit idle for months and then run flat out in 35-degree heat are exactly the ones that fail at the worst moment. Our repair service covers the whole strip, and we know how disruptive a breakdown is when you have guests checking in.
• Refrigerant top-ups done properly. If cooling is weak, the cause is often low gas from a slow leak. We carry out refrigerant regas under F-Gas rules, finding and fixing the leak rather than just refilling.
• Aerothermal heating. For owners upgrading older villas in Villamartin or Cabo Roig, aerothermal systems are an efficient way to handle hot water and the cooler winter months without relying on bottled gas or old electric heaters.

No two streets on the Orihuela Costa are the same, and the right system depends on what you actually own.

Beachfront apartments (La Zenia, Punta Prima). Space is tight, walls are shared and outdoor units often have to go on a balcony or a designated facade point. We plan pipe runs and unit placement to keep things tidy, quiet and within community rules, which matters when neighbours are close by.

Townhouses and quad-style homes (Playa Flamenca, Los Dolses, Las Ramblas). These often need a couple of indoor units to reach bedrooms upstairs and the living area below. A multi-split can keep the look clean with a single outdoor unit, and we will talk you through whether that suits your layout.

Detached villas (Cabo Roig, Villamartin). Bigger footprints and bigger glazed areas mean cooling has to be sized correctly, not guessed. Get it wrong and a villa either never cools properly or runs up needless bills. We measure up room by room.

Then there is the coast itself. The salt air near Cabo Roig, Punta Prima and the beachfronts is hard on outdoor equipment - it corrodes coils and fixings faster than inland sites. We take that into account when we choose mounting points and when we service units, so small signs of corrosion get caught before they become failures. Regular servicing genuinely pays off this close to the sea.
